Revere Ma. Hampton Inn

Anyone familiar with this hotel? We are considering it for its' Park,Stay & Fly package. It gives you a weeks parking included in rate. Other hotel choices for flying out of Logan were rated poorly on Trip Advisor, the Holiday Inn at Logan, Four Pointes Sheraton in Revere and a couple others. We are only planning on staying one night after our return from a Med. cruise, then moving to downtown Boston hotel for convenience during a couple day stay.

I am not familiar with interior of hotel, but am familiar with area. It is across from Suffolk Downs racetrack and not much else. Since you are just sleeping there for the night and you can get a deal on parking your car, I see no reason not to stay there.

Not where I would choose for a vacation in Boston, but seems like you know that since you are moving to hotel in Boston after that.

I can see the hotel from my office window. Its as Gail described. Rt 1a is a busy approach to Logan, the hotel has the Chelsea Creek behind it, so there are oil tanks and oil tankers all around. Good for a one night stay but not to spend a vacation.

The Holiday Inn is just up the street. I've attended functions there and its fine. The Four Points is further away - again attended functions there and its fine. There is also a Comfort Suites nearby. Hampton Inn and Comfort Suites are the newest of the properties.

Gail & Bennie - Thanks for the speedy replies. We have previously stayed in Back Bay, Copley Place and Braintree to use the T, but this time were looking for the Park & Fly package. Sounds like it will be OK for the one night stay. I was concerned about car safety, after reading some reviews of the Sheraton.

If you are concerned about your car, I would suggest checking the price for similar package at the hyatt. They have a lot with security.

Peggy - Great hotel, but the $385/ night rate is more than I care to spend for this package. Additionally, we will be gone over one week which would also inccur a $20/night parking fee for nights over 7.

IL will tell you what we do (most people think this is too much trouble). We park at the Wellington Station parking structure on the Orange Line of the T. It is $3 a day. if you don't have too much luggage, it is easy to get to Logan from there. Have parked t here many times for a week to 10 days, no problem.

Friends of mine stayed at the Hampton Inn last year, and liked it a lot. They said it very comfortable, clean, and had a nice breakfast. The hotel had a shuttle to the airport, and also a shuttle to a subway station that is only 2 stops from downtown Boston.

Peggy - We have used the T station in Braintree on occasion, but only for a one day type trip. This trip we are flying to Barcelona then doing a 7 day cruise so there will be more luggage than usual.

Joyce - Thanks for the info, it is appreciated.
