Need a warm place for Feb. vacation, but not to far from NYnter vacatioj
I would like to plan a vacation for Feb. 07 with my 2 daughters who are 16 and 12. I thought about the Bahamas, but it doesn't seem practical for us at this time. My youngest has some medical issues and we need to be where medical supplies can be delivered (oxygen, etc.) We have been to Florida before and were thinking about somewhere new - but I don't want to go too far (i.e. Arizona)but I do want to be able to go to the beach. Thanks for sharing any ideas.

I think that finding a place that is warm enough in February to go to the beach {assuming that means swimming} is going to mean somewhere in Florida or the Caribbean. Bermuda is too cold in February; even Calif. won't be warm enough to swim.
Where in FL have you been? There are 2 coasts that are really different so maybe that would work?
Hope this helps...

thanks, Debi,
We've been to Tampa and to Disney. I have heard about Sanibel and Marco Island but thought they were not so much for families as for couples. Ideally, a nice warm beach, shopping, some amusement-y type places for the kids would be nice.

I would head down towards Ft. Lauderdale or even Miami for warm weather, swimming and lots of things to do.
Click on Fodor's DESTINATIONS at the top of this page and check both out especially:
