Mendocino California

Looking for a place to stay in Mendocino in late April. I have read about a few inns but they seem far from town. Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice inn or B&B walkable to town and possibly with a nice view? Thanks so much for advice. Also looking to travel from there through the Redwoods to Crescent City area. Does anyone have a suggestion for accommodations near or around there? Thanks so much.

We really like the Glendeven Inn, not least because a walk through the meadows across the street takes you right to the edge of the ocean. All the Inn's rooms are different and comfortable; breakfast is brought to your rom.

Well, breakfast could, I suppose, be brought to your rom, but ours was brought to our room.

Right in town are the Mendocino Hotel and Hill House Inn.

Best,

I haven't stayed here, but the Alegria Inn looks really great - we were planning to stay there next month, but decided against Mendocino at this time since the Wine, Mushroom, and Beer festival is going on during our planned visit and I am unfortunately allergic to mushrooms I didn't want to spend my visit trying to avoid mushrooms, knowing that every seasonal menu at every restaurant was probably chock full of the suckers, so we will go another time - and probably stay at this inn

Dang it. I hate it when people bring up these old threads to spam us or whatever.
