Lancaster hotel question

Our other plans for a trip to Hershey fell through and we are now looking into the Best Western Eden Resort. It seems to get good reviews but has anyone stayed there?

Any info. will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It does a tremendous business with very high occupancy rates. I live blocks away and usually recommend the nearby Hilton Garden Inn or Marriott Courtyard (in Greenfield Corporate Center). For a more local & family flavor, the Bird-in-Hand Motel or even Willow Valley Resort are options.

We were looking at the Hilton Garden Inn. but we thought we would like an indoor and outdoor pool. HGI usually has small pools. Marriot shows no pictures. Will look into Willow Valley.

Thank you.

sounds right. WV would probably be the best for pool options but Bird in Hand may also fit the bill.

My wife works in the sales department of the Eden and I know that they just remodel several rooms into suites. They redid the lobby and the place looks great. They have an open courtyard in the middle of the hotel with rooms surrounding it. It's used for banquets and Sunday Brunch. They have two other restaurants. Arthur's which is a more upscale but not overpriced option and Garfield's which is kind of like TGIFriday's or Applebees, more kid friendly and lighter fare. They have a great indoor and outdoor pool with a small kids pool and playground. Best wishes and enjoy your stay in the central PA area.

We have been to Lancaster County twice on hols (we are from UK) and highly recommend the Best Western Inn & historic revere tavern.

The BW was a nice hotel and very reasonable and on site was a lovely Tavern very much of the Paul revere era and the food was wonderful, it is also central to the other towns of bird in hand, can't remember if its in Paradise or Intercourse but they are all nearby.

Please be aware that the BW Eden Resort and the BW Revere Tavern ARE NOT the same place. They are located 20 minutes apart and are very different.

I wondered about that. Ann, I am amazed at the places you've been in the US: Jim Thorpe, Lancaster County, etc are a bit off the beaten track for Europeans. The Rever Tavern is less than 30 minutes from me, so if you ever make it back here, look me up!

Suki,

We love visiting USA and doing our own thing, have been to lots of places where Brits are not the normal visitor.

Virginia, loved gettysburg, Monticello etc and we visited some fantastic Plantations, loved Jamestown etc.

All of New England, including RI, - 3 times.

Finger Lakes area - once, loved Skeaneatles (spelling!!)onto Niagara falls

Florida - 5 times-(tourist parts and off the beaten track)

Pennylvania - (twice) loved it..

Maryland.
touring Colorado this September.

On all our trips we hire a convertable and visit well known places and off the beaten track.

Have always felt safe.
