LA Hotel

I made a big mistake and booked a trip to LA for August staying at the Days Inn in Whittier. From everything I've heard it's a nightmare but I saved enough to include a car for the week and still pay about $200 less than other packages.

Question is...is this place really that bad?
I'm single and very flexible about accommodations. Really as long as the place is not unhealthy or dangerous, I'll adapt.

Does anyone have any info on this place.

Thanks

Is there a specific reason you're staying in Whittier? Or was that the mistake?

Where is it in Whittier. There are some very nice parts of Whittier and some not as nice. I know the area and can give you a better idea if you have the address. The Radisson in Uptown Whittier is very nice and the area is fine and several people have gotten it for a very good price through priceline.

There's a Days Inn on Telegraph in Whittier. The location isn't awful (but Whittier is, frankly, one of the very last places I'd base a visit to the greater LA area from)-- but that Days Inn is a dump according to the Tripadvisor reviews. Days Inns in southern CA tend to be dumps.

I would urge you to change it if at all possible. What do you want to see in our area?

If it is the Days Inn on Telegraph I would cancel (if possible) and try for the Radisson Whittier on Greenleaf. It is a nice hotel and right near many stores and restaurants and a theatre.
