Info on these YachatsWaldport OR lodgings
Hi all,
Still in the planning stages of early October trip to Oregon for my sister and me.
I have checked trip advisor but would like personal opinions of people who might have experience with the following. Any info will be very appreciated.
Wayside Lodge
Silver Surf Motel
Wayside Lodge
Yachats Inn
Thanks for anything you can share.
Linda

Thanks for responding so quickly.
I would love to stay at Overleaf, but it is well over our budget.
Their sister place, the Fireside, was on my short list until I read several bad reviews on TravelAdvisor, mainly about the cleanliness. If it is just one or two, I ignore them, but there were several saying the same kind of thing. But it sure does look nice.
Any other thoughts?

Must add the Rock Park Cottages, as close as you can get to the beach.
Funky but fun. nice people.

Unrelated to mentioned lodging in Yachats but related to restaurants in Yachats. Check out the Drift Inn for a great homemade pie and a great atmosphere. We were there recently and got a really good vibe from this place ... http://www.seetheglobe.com/modules/w...?cid=6&lid=526

Just got back from Yachats today - just wonderful! If you're looking for a treat, have dinner at Yachats River House. We ate at the Drift Inn, too, and it was just fine, but the River House was something special.
We splurged on the Overleaf (nice!), but the Yachats Inn, at least from the outside, looked really pleasant.
While you're in Yachats, be sure to do the shoreline walk at Cape Perpetua. We also spent a few hours at the Bob Creek Beach, which is a little bit south of town, and it was great fun - good tidepools. Have fun!
