Does anyone have or know how to help me get Oprah show tickets? I am desperate. My sister recently lost her husband and she is a big fan of Oprah. I really want to do something very special for her and I think a wonderful trip to Chicago would do just the trick.

Your best bet would be to write Oprah or call Harpo Studios and explain your situation.

Getting tickets the traditional way is next to impossible. Good luck and I'm so sorry for your sisters loss.

check out her website and see what you migt find there. At the very least, send an email (after you've investigated the site a bit)

I checked into it a couple of years ago when I was doing a fund raiser for our hospital. I called the studio. I was told that I could only request 2 tickets and that my name would go on a waiting list. When they got to my name, they would let me know which date the tix were for. I had no choice of dates and at the time the waiting list was 18-24 months. I gave up. It's easier to get tix for shows filmed in NY. Good luck

I was lucky enough to get tickets the hard way, by calling for them, by using perserverance.

However, I have heard from other posters here in the past that you can get tickets through the concierge at some of Chicago's hotels. I have no idea which ones - maybe a few phone calls to some of the better hotels would net you some info.

Try e-mailing her. They do read all the mail or put it in your greatest wish forum and it might click. Other suggestions good also. Wouldn't you just LOVE to hit her Christmas Favorite Things show???!!!! That's almost better than the lottery!
