I presume you have tickets for Producers in NY? What date and how much are you asking? You just might get a sale right here.

If not, I have the perfect suggestion for you.

Questions:
1. Are they for a performance with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick?
2. If so, did you mention that on ebay when you put them up for sale?
3. Are you asking the face value of the tickets or more?

mrsbu, you offer so little information that it makes me think that you are trying to find a sucker. You do not identify yourself nor any other info. Why don't you tell us where to look on EBAY? Who are you?

TODAY is Free Listing Day at eBay (until midnight Pacific time), so you might as well re-list.

I'll chime in with more of the same. When, where, what seats and how much? Unless one of those questions has a really strange answer, there's no reason you can't sell them.

I looked at your auction--it looks good but if you are very concerned with selling them, maybe you should only charge face value.

If anyone wants to know why they can't get tickets to The Producers, it is because they are all for sale on ebay. There are eight pages of tickets for sale at grossly inflated "Buy It Now" prices.

How is this different from ticket scalping?

tO ANSWER ALL THE QUESTION :
A. I did not list specifics because this board is not a commercial entity.
B. These tickets as everything else in my life seem to have a long story attched to them. They were purchased to take a friend, who it turns out will be in Beverly Hills at the same time.
C. My husband is taking me to florida tommorrow and we may not be back in time to attend. Also it would be nice to make a little profit to defray the last minute expenses on the trip to florida.
D. My husband said if I can't at least make a little profit not obscene we will either go ourselves or give them to friends.
E. As far as not identifying myself I have posted on this board with the same name since 1999. Suffice it to say I am not a lurking ticket broker.
F. Ebay has justified a great deal of email with people trying to buy them for less then I paid thru ticketmaster, with fees we paid almost 250.00 which is not chopped liver.
Happy New Year

If you paid $250 for a pair tickets through Ticketmaster, you paid too much. With the handling fees, your cost should have been around $220 for a pair of tickets to The Producers.

Actually, currently two of the top price ($100) tickets with handling and service charge should be $214.50, I think. I agree with Howard, why would you pay nearly $250 for two with Ticketmaster?

Also you say ". . .people trying to buy them for less than I paid. . ."
So are you saying you're trying to make a profit on these tickets or just unload them at cost or without losing too much?

I'm not sure that there would be a problem with a post here "have two tickets for January 28 evening of The Producers -- good seats at cost. Email me if intrested." I know there is no advertising here, but regular posters have fairly often listed similar things including hotel reservations they were stuck with, etc. On the other hand if you're trying to get more than you paid for them, I'd think twice before posting.

Patrick to answer your question we were charged a 12.50 per ticket fee thru platunum card services I believe this also may have included fed ex charges. I guess there was a premium inorder to get the tickets before they were available to the public. I also would like to get back all the fees I paid to various auctions. The point now is moot as we have given the tickets away to friends.
As far as I am concerned this is a not for profit sites and no adds for sale or home rentals etc belong here.
