Hawaii Honeymoon

My fiance and I are thinking about going to Hawaii for our honeymoon. We think that we will probably go for about 2 weeks. Is too much traveling to stay at 4 differernt isalnds when we are there?

Yes, I would say four islands in 14 days is too many. Three is more than enough. Personally I would recommend Oahu, Maui, and Kauai. You can easily take a day trip to the Big Island from Maui or Oahu to see volcano park.

Sounds like a lot. We are going to Maui for week 1 of our honeymoon, and Kauia for week 2.

If you're young, adventurous and travel light, I'd say go for it! But in all honesty, especially for a HM, I would limit it to 3 islands max so that you can absorb each island at a more leisurely rate...you don't want a stressful vacation right after a stressful wedding! Anything less than 4 full days at each island will be too short to do it justice. But hey, if you just want to sample the 4 biggies before choosing a fav for a return trip, all the more power to you. Just consider that each interisland travel (hotel check out/car rental return/airport check-in/security/flight/baggage claim/car rental/hotel check in) could take 5 or more valuable hours of sunlight...time better spent at the beach, exploring waterfalls or volcanos!

With two weeks, I personally would go to only two islands, three max. Too much island hopping and all that goes with that to go to four in that time span (IMHO).

I think it depends on which 4 islands you are trying to visit. For example, I would suggest 5 days Maui, 5 days Kaui, 2-3 days on the Big Island of Hawaii, and 1-2 days on Oahu. The best way to do the above is by flying through HNL airport and doing the day or two on Oahu at the beginning or end of your trip. Enjoy your stay in Paradise.

Unless you realy want to see Pearl Harbor, I would leave Oahu out of the mix. I personally think it's just too crowded/built-up for a honeymoon. But we came from NYC so wanted far away from a city.
I think if I had 14 days I would do 5-Maui, 5-Kauai, 4-Big Island. Ideally. 2 island would give you more time to relax & soak up the sun. Depends on what kind of travellers you are.

Oahu - we went to visit a friend in oahu before going to maui a couple of years ago. not much to write home about BUT
we are choosing to stay there for 1 1/2 days next month before traveling to Kauai - FOR the SURFING! and only for the great surfing (we got completely hooked on it when we were there last) that IMHO, that would be the only reason to go to oahu.
