Getting from Cleveland to Sandusky,Ohio...
Hi,My family and I would like to go to Cedar Point in Sandusky,Ohio this summer and would like to find out the best way to get from the Cleveland Hopkins Airport to Cedar Point in Sandusky? Would it be better to rent a car or take the Greyhound Bus round-trip? Can anyone tell me how far the Cleveland Airport is to the city? Just wondering how much a cab would be to the Bus Depot in Cleveland? Any comments or help would be appreciated. Thanks,Debbie

Debden, It is only about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from Cleveland airport to Cedar Point. Renting a car and driving is relatively easy. It is mostly freeway with the last part on state highways. A car is nice to have to get beyond the Cedar Point property. If you would prefer the bus,to get to the bus depot in Downtown Cleveland you are better off taking the Rapid Transit line than a cab. It starts at the airport and goes to downtown and beyond. Fares are only a couple of dollars each way.

Definitely rent a car. Once you are in Sandusky, I don't think there is a lot of local transportation. There are a lot of hotels and restaurants out that way, but they are spread out. The park is great. Don't forget Soak City. Enjoy.
