Ft. Lauderdale Airport to Hallendale

From a NYC gal who
- just waves her hand for a taxi (metered or not) whenever needed within the city or metropolitan area, and
- though drives, but hasn't been behind a wheel in too many years to count, and
- to/from our airports there's always easy transport

Question? If flying into Ft. Lauderdale and needing to get to Hallendale area, are taxis readily available? If so, are these metered or with zoned prices? What would be an approximate cost?

Thanks

My mother lives in a south Florida suburb and orders shuttle service, this would be a better option IMHO than a taxi. You will have a guaranteed reservation and firm price. Here is the URL for one she has used, you can find others if you search:

"there's always easy transport" just LIKE in New York and just like in New York it will cost you.

Of course, there are taxis....no rickshaws, though

aliska and Dukey - Thanks to you both.

Dukey - "no rickshaws" - drat, that would have been an interesting alternative along I95

I was sure there was something, but being unfamiliar had to ask then be waiting at airport for "something" to show up (or not). Of course, I'll check with the hotel whether they have a shuttle service, but aliska your link is appreciated.

I just did that myself. I stayed at the Westin in Hallandale. I used GO shuttle, it was $13.00 right at the curb outside baggage claim. I paid the shared ride rate, but had a private car.
