Cheap, romantic dinner after Giants game

Two teens want a special but not too expensive evening after the game. In lieu of going to senior prom, they're rooting for the Giants. We're leaving the car behind. Wanted to walk through North Beach & Chinatown, ride cable car. Boggled by mixed restaurant reviews on Internet and best way to get around. Thanks for any suggestions.

Louisa - What's your idea of "cheap" eats? Are you looking for a restaurant in NYC or in NJ near the stadium? Park & Orchard is a lovely restaurant in East Rutherford, near the stadium with excellent food & romantic atmosphere. They have a website with their menu & prices... www.parkandorchard.com I don't think it's overly expensive for a nice dinner out. Trish

OH, just realized you must be talking about the Baseball Giants as opposed to the Football Giants. Nevermind.

Day Game or Evening Game? Night games usually end around 10:00 p.m. or later, which is too late for most restaurants.

Give more details and I'll see what suggestions I can make.

Sorry, folks. It's a Saturday afternoon SF Giants baseball game. And cheap is maybe a $40 meal for two. Thanks.

I'm going to that game too! Go giants...

If you want to walk to NB, get a reservation at the wonderful souffle restaurant Cafe Jacquline on Grant St. It will take you about 40 mins to walk there and it is very romantic. You might spend a bit more than $40 though.
