Carneros Inn or Auberge du Soleil in Napa?

I'm going to Napa for a girls weekend of relaxation, wine, & spa. Has anyone been to both places to recommend one over the other? Thanks for any advice!

It's been years but I wasn't wild about the CI and very much want to try the AdS. Not much help, I know.

I only know locations - the Auberge is better situated for visiting other popular sites in Napa Valley. Can't beat the views at the Auberge either.

We've dined at the Auberege a few times (long ago). Have heard (second hand), that the Carnaros is a little different - bordering on "odd".

I think Auberge is a far better place. Beautiful rooms, food and a good location.

Carneros would be good if you want to tour Sonoma and Napa.

Thanks for your suggestions. I spoke with a woman at Auberge who was so horrible I don't think I could ever stay there. I left a message for the manager about what happened and he didn't even bother to call me back. If that's how they treat a customer before they even get there, I can only imagine! I think I'd rather take my business somewhere else. Thanks anyway. I know you all always have great advice.

You might check out Solage in Calistoga.

http://www.solagecalistoga.com/default.htm

It's owned by Auberge but you might find someone more accommodating on the phone because it's brand new.

Update...I have wanted to say I stayed at the Carneros Inn and it couldn't have been more wonderful and luxurious. Our cabin had a real fireplace with new wood each evening, we had a welcome glass and then a bottle waiting in the room of a fantastic bottle of wine, cheese, and apps, an incredible breakfase, the friendliest service and would go again in a heartbeat. I ended up going to Auberge for drinks and appetizers and was again met with the rudest, most arrogant, condescending service before we even sat down, so we just left. The staff is very young and immature with attitude, unorganized and as I said, downright rude. They really need to get a handle on this. I have read so many reviews saying the same thing.

My wife and I just stayed at Auberge du Soleil last week. We have nothing but good things to say about our stay and didn't encounter any rudeness or immaturity regarding the staff. I must say the dinner we had here was nothing less than mediocre.
I'm sorry to hear this happened to you.
