Broadmoor Resort

Has anyone recently stayed at the Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs?

How are the accomodations and facilities for a birthday/family reunion?

I was there this past Christmas and had a good lunch at the Golden Bee, but I've never stayed at the resort (I'd like to though).

I'm from CS originally and I couldn't believe how much the Broadmoor has grown. It has a long standing reputation for being top notch and I'd imagine it would be a very special place for a reunion.

I realize this doesn't help you a bit, but hey, it tops your thread if nothing else!

We were there for nearly a week in late September. DH was there for a meeting and we attended several dinner, cocktail type functions at the hotel throughout our stay--everything from food, staff, presentation, etc., was wonderful.

This was our second stay at the Broadmoor and we would go again in a heartbeat. This past stay we enjoyed a large corner room in the main building with several windows and a very large bathroom--it was perfect.

During our first stay, we had a room in (I want to say) building 4 --across the lake with a balcony view of the lake. Not as large as the corner room but just as beautiful.

I don't think you can go wrong choosing the Broadmoor!

We stayed there 2 yrs ago (not sure this is what you mean by "recent") and thoroughly enjoyed it. Had no complaints. Top notch resort. Large, well-appointed rooms with huge bathrooms and closets. Should be a great place for birthday/family reunion.

It is a resort or a destination hotel. Pretty self contained and would be great for a family reunion. Would be a little pricy for some folks.

Just stayed there in March. Love the place. It is pricey, but if everyone can afford it, definitely a great choice.

Have stayed several times starting in 1978 and most recently in 2005...never disappoints and yes the Golden Bee is a great place to eat...great pot pies (!) and "1/2 yard" and "yard" beers...the height of the beer glasses.

Something for everyone of all aes to do there, which means grandparents as well as grandchildren will have activities to choose from
