Check www.betterbidding.com . They have a calendar of wins that is quite useful. Also helps you decipher hotwire hotels.

When I have looked also I have wondered if really there ARE many wins! Look at last year for same dates to get a better idea of the possibilities.
So many people go on cruises or with campers that I think bidding does not come into play as much, and probably very few wins during high season.
Good luck! Someday I hope to make the trip myself!

I second the vibe that hints that not many Anchorage scores on Priceline were likely there to report in the last several months (spanning winter).
While I myself once drove to Alaska and didn't make reservations until arriving in Anchorage and using Priceline, I doubt that many visitors are willing to just turn up in "Alaska" without a reservation.
Furthermore, when you pop up in Anchorage sans hotel reservation, and you stop at (what was then Kinko's) to make a Priceline reservation, you don't likely leap over to betterbidding or biddingfortravel to report your grand successes.
I don't think you should see it as being particularly meaningful that you can't find many Alaska scores on Priceline.

Oh the good old days.
When I arrived there in early April (many years ago), my winning base bid for the downtown Hilton was $42 a night.
(of course that probably reflects the season as well as the evolving rates since then)
