A novel PNW GTG idea
I found this trip last year and wanted to go. Fun4all (I think that was her screen name) went and had a blast. I emailed last week and called just now. The owner is debating whether or not to do the B&B version this year.

3 day trip paddling in the San Juans. Great potential of seeing whales. Gorgeous scenic kayaking.
The problem - they aren't sure they are going to do the B&B version this year. He's deciding in the next week or so. My first choice would be the women's only week but would go on the mixed trip of course. These old bones would prefer hot baths and mattresses over kayaking though
So, tossing out the idea. Anyone interested?
And if not, spread the word anyway. He said the folks had a great time last year. I think he's welcome for creative way to market the trips.
I'm going no matter. B&B or camping. I WILL do this trip this year. So, be on the lookout for a Seattle GTG suggestion on the way in or out from Starrsville

Interesting idea, Starrsville. I might be interested. Are those 3-day WOW trips over weekends? (I guess I could check a calendar!) I don't see any mention of the B & B trips, though---where is that?
Fortunately, the shoulder problem that made me sell my own kayak several years ago has resolved. It would be fun to get back out on the water again.

There's nothing on the website yet. He's considering adding a trip. I think he's pretty open regarding the dates. I told him I'd prefer not to go the last week of July / first week of August (usually the time of my summer sales meeting) - or July 4th.
8 or 9 went last year and the same guide is available this year. He said everyone had a blast.
So, no B&B trips on the website yet. They may be added based on interest. The price point was about $750. 2 days making day trips via water and nice meals out at night. The third day is exploring the islands (hike, etc) and perhaps a wine tasting at a vineyard. I vote for that!

This could be great! I'm definitely interested---looking for more ways to celebrate my big birthday year. But, due to work schedule and things already planned (I'm almost maxed out on vacation time) I could only go on a Friday-Saturday-Sunday weekend (or Monday if it's Labor Day weekend---which is actully about the best time for me). September is wide open; June, July, and August are about half booked up for me.
Also, since my hubby can't go, I'd prefer the womeon-only trip.

Memorial Day weekend would work for me too. Almost any weekend I'll make work. I'm trying to hold open that last week of July...just in case of a work conflict.
cmcfong may come! what a blast. I'm in the middle of an "oh" year. We'll just make it a great celebration of milestone birthdays!
Anyone else interested?
