Ventana Inn and Post Ranch are the ones that spring to mind that aren't child-friendly - those are beyond the budget anyway (mine too). Esalen is probably not appropriate with kids either. The rest should be fine though.

The Big Sur Inn has accommodations, and whether staying there or not, has a great brunch.
