honeymoon in october

We are struggling between a couple of choices. We have a total of two weeks for honeymoon travel, funds are flexible. Top contenders are SanFrancisco/Napa Valley, Greek Isles, Costa Rica, or St. Barts
Neither of us has been to any of these places.

Do a search for Mishi on this board. She's goin' to Costa Rica and that'd be my choice based on what you are looking into.

Pretty broad spectrum. I've never been to any of those places, but St. Barts, I'd guess, would be more of a relaxing honeymoon vs. jam-packing your itinerary with all sorts of things to see and do. If you are looking for relaxing, then pick St. Barts.

October is hurricane season, so I would avoid the Caribbean. The hubby and I have been to Costa Rica and the Greek Isles and also many times to the caribbean. The Greek Isles would be my choice hands down. Santorini is gorgeous and they have some amazing hotels in the village of Oia. SOOOO romantic.

I would choose Antartica simply because I havent heard of anyone getting married there. How unique!

In all seriousness... I hate the cold.

Wrong forum, however I do have a response to this one. Do not avoid Costa Rica because it is hurricance season. Most hurricanes do not afect Costa Rica. Beside, on the lower Caribbean side of Costa Rica, it is the dry season there. I am heading there in October for my honeymoon. After doing extensive research, I am very confident we will have a great time there. October is one of the best months for snorkelling on the Caribbean coast as the waters are most calm then.

"Rainfall on the Caribbean slope is more evenly distributed throughout the year, with marked dry periods in May-June and again in September-October."
