Fodor's: Please Stop with the Obnoxious Ads

Here I try to peak at Fodor's occasionally while at work and I get a loud blaring of that obnoxious "Come to Louisiana" ad. Yes, I could try and remember to turn my sound down before each time I want to check Fodor's but then I forget to turn it back up and find myself late for meetings. Seriously Fodor's, couldn't you give me the choice whether or not I want to hear that or other obnoxious ads? Or how about just a print ad and skip the video?

Yep, I've been wondering also what triggers the obnoxious Louisiana ad - for a moment I thought I had inadvertently touched on a link with the mouse cursor, but I think it pops up randomly, and that is bad practice. Like an ambush...

Are you hearing that, Fodor's? We're calling and we're using our outside voice!

"Are you hearing that, Fodor's? We're calling and we're using our outside voice!" probably not. This is the travel tips forum. You may be better posting in the Forums Help or emailing the editors. Not that it will make the slightest difference, this site is free to members and is funded by advertisers site and advertising is only to be expected.
