SANTIAGO, CHILE - LUGGAGE STORAGE
I need some updated info. Is there luggage storage at the airport in Santiago?
I have checked the airport page but could not find any info.
I just need to store my big bag for about 4 days while I fly off to Easter Island. I cannot leave it at my hotel as I return from E Is and then fly on to LAX.
Also does anyone know the costs involved and how safe it all is?
Thanks!

Left luggage at SCL insure any electronics well if you bring.
quotewright.com always a good idea
Also airport hotels or the Ritz or Intercontinental 2 best
for me in Santiago bidding priceline.com from $100/nt
usually store for free if you need an overnite
a safer way to go to avoid 5 finger disounts at SCL

There is a left luggage at SCL. It is on the arrivals level at the national arrivals area of the terminal. It will be on your left and it is called CUSTODIA. It is not cheap. A large bag is about 8-10 dollars per 24 hour period.
I am not sure why Qwovadis thinks you will suffer theft of anything in your stored bag. But then I don't understand most of his/her posts.

I envy you going to EI! I found a picture of the custodia on the airport website. They are open 24 hrs a day.

Im very excited about E. Is. Have wanted to go there since I was a kid.
My son actually beat me there as he was there about 3 yrs ago....and had a 5 ft Moai shipped home for his yard! It came in a wooden sarcophogus!!
Some places and things we see as we travel really are magical...I think E. Is. will be such a place.
