Direct flights from Iguazu to Salta

Does anyone know what days Andes fly from Iguazu to Salta? I've tried to book on their websites but it says there's no flights on the days I've tried to book. Lan have a direct flight but it's very expensive, around 450$US and I don't fancy getting a 24 hour bus.

Aerolineas is just as expensive as Lan, the only cheaper option is Andes.

Aerolineas has a flight (operated by Austral) for $219 on the one date I checked, 28 Feb. Don't know your date.

Be sure you are searching for IGR as the airport code, not IGU. IGR is in Argentina; IGU is in Brazil.

Thanks, we are looking for a flight either on the 11th or 12th October, I actually want to find this flight before I book our international flights as I might have to change the itinerary if I can't get a cheaper flight.

Well, those dates aren't the $219 I found but the 11th could work for you.

NFZ - we took the bus from Salta to Iguazu in 2008. The fare (Ejectivo - highly recommended!) was around $600 ARS. This has no doubt increased, I would guess by approx 50%.

The trip took a total of 27 hours including a change of bus in Tucaman (beware the time zone change - we nearly missed the connection!). As I recall we departed Salta at around 7.00am and arrives Iguazu 9.00am the next day. The trip was very comfortable with good food and even wine served along the way.

Iguazu to Salta (one way) is $345 USD on Aerolineas Argentina, $357 USD on LAN, and $85 - $121 USD on Andes Air. But the biggest consideration is the travel time.
