Karolas, Costa Rica Question
This is really one of the best restaurants we went to in Costa Rica. It is located in the Manuel Antonio area. I was wondering does anyone know the website for the restaurant?

We just went and had an amazing meal at the resteraunt last night. Nothing could have been better done for us. The food, the drinks, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this resteraunt, and to top it all off, the ambience is even better. You can opt to sit in the jungle at a private table, or sit in the resteraunt, but the food is what was the best part. Be sure to save room for dessert, its the best part.

Trvlbug,
We really enjoyed the Plata Gorda. It has been a month but I think it was total: 8 mussels, 8 colossal shrimp, 2 good size pieces of Mahi Mahi and 2 pieces of Tuna. Definitely more than enough for two people! We were so delighted with the food we squeezed in their famous Macademia Nut Pie which was awesome too!! Don't quote me on the price but maybe around $20. We had a couple of beers, the dish, and the pie for total w/ tax and tip for $55. We ate their three times!! (= The next time we had their margt. and a bottle of wine which of course increased the bill (= but it was great all three times!! I am so envious!! (=

I forgot to write this earlier but the restaurant also serves a modified lunch menu. It is not quite the same evening atmosphere (we were the only ones eating lunch) but I had the fresh tuna sandwich. The food was excellent and that is why we decided to go for dinner and the atmosphere IS really great at night. There are lots of things on the menu including steak and I remember thinking the price ranges from $10-$15 and up for dinner.

seh2397,
We sat in the restaurant all three times and we enjoyed it. The jungle seemed really popular too but I am a bit "bug phobic" so I prefer to eat with a roof overhead and a man made floor. The restaurant area is open all around so you still get the outside experience but just more sheltered. The jungle area is just tables outside the restaurant w/a shallow wall seperating the two areas.
