El Nakuti Resort
We are looking for somewhere quiet but not TOO boring - close enough to a town to go in fairly easily. we aren't considered about luxury, 3 * is fine.
just wondered if anyone knows this resort, or their sister resort the Giardini de Papagayo. ANY information or thoughts are welcome.
ps: thanks for all the previous costa rica reports, been learning a lot here.

I will be interested in a reply also.
Are you flying into Liberia.
This place is All - Inclusive.
Some resorts really charge you a lot for the transfer from Liberia Airport to the resort.!!

Yes double check because if you were staying at the Ocotal Resort, almost next door, the cost from Liberia is $46.00 US per personb one way!!!
That is $ 184.00 just for the shuttle for 2 people..amazing that they can shuttle you free or at least for say $10.00!!!
Are you taking the package deal going there or just room and flight?
Thanks

I've been to Nakuti once--just for the evening and just to visit a friend who worked there. It was a pretty place, but I was only in the restaurant/bar/pool area and didn't see the rooms. It is fairly close to Coco Beach and that can be a fun place to go for the evening. In fact, the night I was at Nakuti, my friend was taking a group of hotel guests to Coco Beach for a little night life. I'd say the place is "fair". Costa Rica is so beautiful, you can hardly go wrong with any choice you make.

I just returned from Costa Rica 2 weeks ago and stayed at El Nakuti and Giardini de Papagayo. We were booked at Nakuti, but had access to Giardini. When we visited Giardini we found out that we could move over there if we wanted to. It was much quieter there. The food was much better. Basically the same food but it was prepared so much better. The pool at Nakuti was very hot and noisy. Loud music and dance lessons etc. Giardini was very quiet and situated on a hillside so you could catch a nice breeze at the pool. There is a shuttle that will take you back and forth to each resort for free. Either place is nice, but we preferred Gardini. Have a great trip.
