Copacabana Beach Resort

My wife and I are considering vacationing at the Copa in November and we're hoping some folks out there have been there recently and can offer some advice and/or comments both pro and con.

I am also going and wonder about the Copacabana Hotel instead of staying in Ipanema. Any ideas about this choice?

Hate to repeat the same advice...but...locogringo.com has had some discussions on Copacabana vs. Club Maeva Tulum. That is if you are referring to resorts in Xpu-Ha. I've read some people preferred CMT over Copa.

pepper131, your right the original poster is not cear as to what they really want to know, I would assume they are talking about Rio but you are in the complete other direction, so lets see if Mike can ask a clear question about what they want: What country? What beach and what hotel.

Yeah...I go to the Mexico board since it's the only place I've been to in Latin America...and it comes up there...so I wonder...

To Pschatz, what do you need to wonder about the Copacabana Palace Hotel as it is the best hotel in Latin America and probably the most expensive, anything else?
