trip to London and Paris with Disney
I have a BIG birthday coming up in 2015 and was thinking of a family trip (about 8 days) to London and Paris. I am in the very early planning stages, but have kids who will be 9 and 5 at that time. Any suggestions as to how to split the time? Can I take a train between the stops on the trip? Any other suggestions?

8 days is not very long -- assuming you mean 8 days total. If so, that will only net you about 5 days free on the ground. 1 day US, London. 1/2 a day eaten up w/ arrival logistics/jetlag, 1/2 a day London to Paris (the train only takes 2+ hours but w/ transfers/checking out/in it will eat up half a day), 1 day flying home.
So yes you can do both cities in "8 days" but you will only barely scratch the surface. If you also plan on a day at Disneyland -- then you'll have about 2 full days for London and 2 full days for Paris.
Certainly doable but don't expect that you'll really be "seeing" much in either city.
IMO -- and IF Disney is a must -- and IF you only have 8 days total . . . I'd just do Paris (even though London is my favorite city anywhere)

You take the Eurostar between London and Paris. The Paris Disney site gives directions on getting there from Paris.
8 days is way too short for these 3 destinations. You'll barely have time to get acclimated to London and Paris before you move on. I too suggest only Paris.

You really can't do justice to these three places in 8 short days. Stick to Paris and spare your family the pain of constantly being on the go from one destination to the other and packing and unpacking.

Have your kids been to Disneyworld? If so, they will be very disappointed in Paris Disney. If not - I guess you need to spend the day there.
If you actually have 8 days on the ground (not counting day of departure, day of arrival and day of return) that the trip is doable. Is those 3 days are included in your 8 days - then agree just to sick to Paris - even though I think your kids might like London more.
