St. Cloud Guinguette
There is a restaurant in the park in St. Cloud (Paris area) whose name is L'Oasis Guinguette. Their web site shows dancing at the restaurant (that's what they do at a guinguette). However, they do not give the time or days when there is dancing - apparently to live music. Would appreciate any info on this site and specifically when the dancing takes place.

It's called on the French sites Chalet Oasis.
Here's a photo of it on this list translated from the French.
another site says to phone for hours.

their website gives hours when they serve lunch or dinner and the hours are very limited so I would presume it would be during those times if they had any. However, from looking at their video, I am not sure they even have dancing, I think they use that name just because they are a casual outdoor restaurant. I don't see any place they could even have dancing (to be honest, it doesn't look that special to me). I'll admit I don't see any dancing on their website, which is this, I believe http://www.chalet-oasis.fr/Index.htm
A guinguette didn't have to have dancing, although they often do now and it might be expected. But historically, it was just a casual outdoor drinking place.
But if you really are mainly interested in the dancing, I think you might look into other places that are really known for that where you can get more info (unless you happen to be going to that park anyway), eg Joinville le Pont. This is just one wellknown spot in Joinville (you can get there by RER line A2).
The Paris Tourist Office website has a page of guinguettes with info and links (the one in St Cloud isn't even listed) http://www.parisinfo.com/restaurants...r/guinguettes/
Here's a review of L'Oasis in Le Parisien http://www.leparisien.fr/seine-saint...2005001727.php
Here is a review in Le Figaro http://www.lefigaro.fr/sortir-paris/...de-l-oasis.php
I think you read French, if not, the first says it's better to go when it first opens at noon rather than later as there are long lines to wait to get a table. le Figaro says it has a good view towards Sevres and Paris. Price seems kind of steep. There is one review on Tripadvisor which also says it is too expensive for what it is.
This is an interesting article on the history of guinguettes, it looks like they started in Joinville http://www.culture-guinguette.com/marne.htm

I live near the guinguette in Joinville-le-Pont called Chez Gégène and they definitely do dancing at certain hours. Here is the link to their website:

Many thanks for these responses. We are familiar with Chez Gegene having been there several times - enjoyed the dancing to a live orchestra led by the accordion - the sounds of Paris.
