Roma Termini or Tiburtina train station?

I'm helping my grandson plan a train trip from Venice to Rome. While he is in Rome, he will be staying on Piazza Margana. He can get to either of the above stations from Venice. Which one would be closer to Piazza Margana?

Termini. It is closer to the center of Rome. He would have to take the subway from Tiburtina.

You can clearly see that Terminini is closer using a map.
In case you are not familiar with google, you can feed "piazza margana, rome map" in to www.google.com, or "piazza margana, rome" into map search box at www.google.com/maps. You see the Piazza Margana marked, you can see Termini by large number of train tracks, and you can see Tiburtina further away.

Both are on the subway system in Rome and both are major transport hubs (including buses, not just trains). Termini is a bit more central, but he will still need to get from there to his hotel. Here's the metro/train map for Rome.

Tiburtina does not make sense but Ostiense might. The Italo trains that stop at Tiburtina will also stop at Ostiense. It may be less chaotic than Termini. Go with whatever is cheapest.

I don't see Ostiense making much sense in this situation as there aren't many trains going there that don't require changes.

>>>The Italo trains that stop at Tiburtina will also stop at Ostiense.<<<

Only a handful of Italo trains to Tiburtina go on to Ostiense. If you select Firenze and Rome Ostiense there are only 4-5 trains where Florence/Tiburtina has more like 15 Italo runs.
