We will be staying in Trevignano for 1 week and cannot figure out how to get there without a car. The owner of the villa gave rather broken and vague directions so must research myself. I know there is a train station in Bracciano but don't know what trains to take there. Can anyone help?

Hey Ira - Where did you get that??

KGS - Bracciano is an hour by train from Rome.
Bracciano trains leave from Roma OSTIENSE station.
To get to Roma Ostiense, take the Metro Line 'B' to PYRAMIDE.

Hope this helps ...

P.S. Looking at the map, the nearest station for you to get off would be ANGUILLARA (- before Bracciano).

It's a short bus or taxi ride from there.

Here's a map:

You may already have found this link:

Hope this helps ...

Hi KG,

Are you trying to get from Rome to Bracciano, from Brocciano to Trevignano, or from Rome to Trevignano?

In any case, try www.trenitalia.com

Thank you to all who replied. We are trying to get from Rome to Trevignano, but don't know if that must include going to Bracciano and then on to Trevignano. The owner suggested going to Bracciano and then taking taxis or the bus to Trevignano. If that's the best way we'll do it, but just want to be sure. There are 12 of us so everything is just a little more complicated. Thanks again for help

KGS - What time of day are you travelling? There are buses from both Anguillara and Bracciano

This site lists connections from Anguillara at:

07.30
09.30
14.30
15.30
19.00

http://www.campingsmeraldo.com/collegamenti.html

These buses provide a connecting service with the train from Rome - which you can catch at OSTIENSE (- as above), S. PIETRO (- the Vatican station - reachable by bus no. 64) or TRASTEVERE.

Let me know if I can be of more help ...

You're welcome. Just a footnote ...

If you choose to catch the 64 to S. Pietro station, beware pickpockets.
