Paris Hotel on Seine?
I am looking for a hotel/b&b or apartment with a view of the Seine River for a 3 night Paris stay. If an apartment, we need 2-3 bedrooms. Price range is fairly open for the right place but I would like to stay under $500 per night if possible.

A hotel on the Seine? There are four hotels on an island in the Seine. That island is Ile St. Louis. I am not sure if you will get a Seine River view however as the hotels are not facing the river. If you find an apartment on the island that'll be great, but that island is a very coveted area and is quite expensive. However, someone may be renting a reasonable place. There are lots of posts here about apt. rental agencies; do a search.
You may have better luck to reserve a couple of rooms at Hotel Les Rives de Notre Dame. Upper floor rooms face the Seine.

francophile gave you an excellent suggestion and there is another hotel on the Seine nearer rue de St Pere..can't remember the name!
The Seine is a lot lower than the quais! Check out house boats if you really want to be "on the water"! Some can accomadate 8 people.

I've never quite understood the attraction of a hotel on the Seine. As mentioned, from most angles it's pretty hard to see much of anything. Also there are generally major streets between the hotels and the river, so it is guaranteed to be noisy.
Now an apartment on Isle St. Louis facing the river -- that's another matter, but you'll have trouble finding a nice one that will rent for just three nights.

Most apartments rent by the week, but you might find one available for just part of the week. But if not, how many rooms do you need for your 3-night stay? Are all of you adults, or are there some children?
