Paris- Apartments du Louvre and Apartments du Marais

Hi- has anyone stayed in one of these units? One company rents out apartments in both locations. The Marais one is actually in the second arrondissement...the other may be as well. Just want to know how it was. Thanks

no, the Louvre one is in the 1st on rue de l'Arbre Sec, not far from the old Samarataine dept. store. It is very close to the Louvre. The other one isn't really in the Marais, it's near Les Halles at the intersection of rue Etienne Marcel and bd Sebastopol. that's the border of the 1st and 2nd, but that address is to the north side of the street.

anyway, never heard of them but that Marais address used to belong to Bridgestreet Apartments, by the way, but I think they sold them to some other company, I guess the one you name. There are plenty of reviews on booking.com for that address.

Thanks for the response christina...I read the booking reviews and they were generally positive but just wanted to check in here bc I don't see them mentioned anywhere but booking. It sounds like you are familiar with Paris ...does the location sound like a good place to be? I've been to Paris but it has been years...

Perhaps you aren't aware that the Mayor's office has declared war on vacation rental apartments, the majority of which are illegal.

You might consider reading up on this issue, as well as doing some more serious investigation on the rental agency, before you commit to something based only on reviews.

If you are concerned about the location, the best thing is to enter the apartment's address on GoogleMaps and do a Street View search of both the building and the neighborhood. This way, you'll be able to see if there's a restaurant or other noisy business downstairs or in the near vicinity. If you do not have the exact address, ask for it.
