Missing Berchtesgaden/Salzburg?

I'm just vegging on a Sunday afternoon and stumbled on the following YouTube video:

Brings back lots of pleasant memories. Check out some of Oktoberfest1810's other videos by clicking on the link to the right. Very nicely done and informative. I wish he had more!

Thanks for posting Zeus! We just returned to the Berchtesgadenland area a few weeks ago and fell in love all over again. Such a beautiful and relaxing area.

Best wishes,
Tracy

Hey Jen! You caught me...I haven't written one...guilty as charged! I'm not sure if I'm going to write one, as I didn't take as many notes as I usually do. I'm not sure how good it would be!

Thanks! This is a great area of Germany.

We first did the Salt Mines in 1970 when I was in the US Army. We still get back to this area...last trip in June 2007. Again did the electric boats on Koingsee and again enjoyed the scenery.

Thanks! We will be there for the first time in June. Will be staying in Salzburg, so just doing this area as a daytrip. Tracy - would loved to read any report you might write - particularly restaurant recs.

Alrighty...I will write a trip report! Unfortunately I don't have the names of all the restaurants I ate at, but I'll try to fill in the ones that I did.

jgg, the food in that region is so good you almost can't go wrong! And if you like cheese, we discovered a wonderful cheese cart at the market in Salzburg where we picked up some delicious mountain cheeses.
