I'm going to Milan 11-13 November, no slot available for Cenacolo Vinciano, any suggestion ?

I have all the bookings made (40 euros return flight and 100 euros/night at starhotel Anderson), went to the Cenacolo Vinciano web page and ohhhhhhhhhh, no slot available that weekend ! My friend Emilio is a big Leonardo fan and I don't want him to go back without seeing the Cenacolo. Do you know any alternative way to have two tickets ?
If you have any other advise on restaurants for my modest budget (no more than 20 euros per person) it's also welcome Thanks a lot !!

You might ask your hotel if they can get reservations for you. It's worth a try.

We saw the Last Supper a few years ago in late October without a reservation. (Sorry, but I can't remember whether it was on a weekend or weekday.) We waited in a "hopefuls" line for about 30 minutes. As each group with reservations is admitted, if there are any empty slots, people from the hopefuls line are added.

We had waited in this line earlier the same day for about 40 minutes and saw little or no movement. We left and returned at about 5:30/6:00 p.m., and the line moved surprisingly fast.

Good luck!

I was just there and the people in front of me were trying to get in. The clerk was not helpful and there was no offer of a waiting line. The man who took our tickets did not speak and did not count the tickets. They appeared to not care. I would do my best to get the tickets ahead of time from someone.

Although it is not next door to the Cenacolo, try this one: http://www.ilmangione.it/scheda.php?id_rist=2638

The Cenacolo Vinciano is probably the only thing that I wouldn't miss when in Milan.

As for restaurant, if you are out shopping around the Duomo / Galleria area, a good light lunch with good daily menu fare is the restaurant at the 7th floor of Rinascente department store. Euro 20 per person should be more than enough (including a glass of wine per).

We were also just in Milan, and people who came in were told that there was no chance of seeing the Last Supper that day. There was no queue. See if the hotel has better luck trying to make a reservation.

By the way, do go and see the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana. There was hardly anyone there when we visited last week; in most rooms, we were the only ones there. They have a Leonardo Da Vinci painting, and drawings too (from the Codex), as well as many other wonderful paintings.

Thanks very much to you all !! I'll try the hotel option to see if they can help.

Tulips, I was thinking on visit Pinacoteca Ambrosiana too but I don't like at all the crowds when visiting museums so I'm happy to know there were not many people there !
