unfortunately, hotelboulevard has been out of business for a while--the domain name is up for auction. try digital.france.com/hotels as a good substitute, they have 39 reviews.
Don't know the hotel, but it looks decent, though. The area is convenient and central, but kind of business-y for my tastes. It's near the stock exchange, as well as the Opera, lots of stores and a couple theaters (Comedie Francaise). There are plenty of places to eat around there, don't worry. It won't take you long to get places.
I have never stayed around there so am not quite sure what that would be like, maybe someone else can say from experience.

Thank you both for answering; Travelnut, have a nice vacation in New Orleans-Paris will be upcoming soon hopefully for you?
Yes, maybe someone else who has stayed in this area can give some info. I read that the 2nd is deserted at night. Is this correct? Hotel Favart has no a/c but they are offering in July next yr. 130 euro/night (for a triple!) including breakfast (no matter how small it is).
I think we have to look in less popular areas now as the rates are lower (the euro is getting too strong against the US $-the same hotel we could afford last year is costing $200 or more now-in the Latin Qtr.). But we still want to stay in a hotel and not an apartment.
Thanks
