Hilton London Kensington?

Has anyone stayed at the Hilton London Kensington? I found a great deal on a room there but am wondering about the location. It's my first time to London and I'll be there for 4 days. Is this a good location to stay? It's located on Holland Park Ave.<BR>Any advice would be appreciated =)

Don't know about the Hilton itself but Holland park Road is a short walk from Kensington High st tube station.we just visited Leighton House Museum on Holland Park Rd and it was about a 7 minute walk. Are you sure it Holland Park Rd and not Holland Rd in Holland Park area..only ask because Holland Park rd is very residential and only a few blocks long and I don't remember seing a hotel there! Holland Ave is only 2 blocks further along but it would depend on how close you were to the intersection with Kensington

Sorry, my bad! I was confusing Holland Park Road and Holland Park avenue. The avenue where the Hilton is located is quite a distance from Kensington High Street. But looking at a map it, seems near enough to a tube station( Holland Park) but certainly not in walking distance to any tourist sites

Moonbeam: How did you like Leighton. It's one of my favorite &quot;unknown&quot; sites in London.

Loved it! The Arab Hall is fantastic and the portraits( I love portraits!) were wonderful. The only thing wrong was the garden was closed for some renovation so we only glanced it thru the doors ..and I wanted a closer look at the sculpture there!

Stayed at the Hilton Kensington last year. We found it very nice, great location, close to tube. Excellent concierge service, breakfast buffet, lounge and tea in the afternoon. Good choice!
