help - best transportation in Venice at 4am !!

We just realized that our flight leaves at 6:30 am from Marco polo airport and we need to get to the airport by 4am. BUT - the public transportation is not open that early- what are the options to get to the airport very early in the am????
thanks!!

At that time of the morning, I would definitely go with a water taxi. It will cost around 80-90 euro, depending on where you are departing from in Venice, but will be much less hassle than public transportation and will get you there much quicker.

You can reserve a water taxi the day before near the Rialto bridge.

or just have your hotel arrange one for you the night before.

Hi barbie,

The airport personnel won't be there at 4:00 AM.

Ask your hotel to arrange for a water taxi to get you to the airport about 5:00.

Thanks to everyone else for the water taxi info too - 90 EU- is that each or for 2 people???

We took the a water taxi to Marco Polo for an early morning flight last November. 90 euro (plus tip) covered all four of us.

Enjoy Venice!

Yes, the water taxi charge is per boat, so to speak, not per person. I read a thread earlier this month about them not really expecting a tip since their charges are high and the driver owns the boat/taxi, but I tip anyhow out of courtesy.
