From Venice to Milan one day tour
Going to Italy in March on a tour. Arriving in Milan on a Monday departing to Venice on Tuesday, and leaving on Thursday to continue the tour. The Last Supper Milan museum is closed on Mondays. Is there any way to take a tour from Venice to Milan and back in one day? Any suggestions will help. Thanks to all.

Why not postpone departure to Venice instead? If it's important to you, and Milan to Venice is part of the tour, not clear on that point, just stay and catch up on Wed. Either way will deduct a day from Venice, but staying will be less expensive, less time-consuming.

But try for Last Supper tickets on that Tuesday morning ASAP: www.vivaticket.it/index.php?&change_language=1. Note the link to buy online.

I wasn't suggesting that the tour is flexible. Only that if you prefer seeing the Last Supper, that you leave the tour to do that, then rejoin the tour afterward. "No flexibility" does not mean you must participate in the tour's itinerary every moment, only that the tour plan cannot change. But you can certainly opt out for those hours or a day, let them proceed without you, then take a train to rejoin them. Otherwise, it's called prison, not a tour.

almenrod- My biggest disappointment viewing the Last Supper was that you are only allowed 15 minutes with this great work of art..and if the "group" that has the same time slot as you are pokey getting into the room itself, you could lose a few minutes viewing. It happened to me.
If I had known this, I would have booked a second tour 30 minutes after the first one (allowing time to leave the exhibit and get back out front to check in for that next entrance.)
If you have a great interest, and the time and money for a second trip through...
Have a great trip!

Just a suggestion: You may want to book a guided tour for the LS to get the most out of it. We did, and our guide was excellent at describing the work and some of the facts surrounding it. I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much otherwise.
