We are staying at the LeRoyal hotel in Nice for 3 days.
Prefer not to drive. Heard about a train that travels from town to town and wondered if that would be good or just take organized tours. Want to visit the coastal towns only.

You will want a full day for Nice. It looks like you also want to visit Cannes and Monte Carlo in those three days? From Nice you can visit Antibes, and Villefranche instead of the other large cities/towns.

does anyone know bout a train that goes from Nice to Monte Carlo then to Cannes along the coast. It seems to me that I read about one but since I getting older I can't remember????
We arriving in Nice on the 17th and leave at 7AM on the 20 to catch a train t Cinque Terre.
That really leaves one day to see all three places.

Monte Carlo(east) and Cannes(west) are in opposite directions from Nice. Yes, you can take a train, many tunnels. Why do yo uwant to visit those other small cites when there are more charming vilages nearby?
