Experts needed - French and Italian Riviera
I have about 1 week to explore French and Italian Riviera. I am planning to rent a car and drive along the cost. I am really interested in any suggestions people here would have. Please tell me about your experiences in these places, any recommendations, suggestions you have.
Look forward to any ideas!
Thank you in advance,
Peter

Peter-
I absolutely LOVED St.Tropez-neat little town to walk around in ,great shops, wonderful cafes-- tons of jet setty things going on--with a beautiful marina ....
Also LOVED Portofino,Italy-- again same as above-take in the Splendido Hotel if the bucks allow it...great views from high on the hill...
All the quaint little towns on the French Riviera are fun to just ride thru--Villefranche,Eze and if you have time, go up to St Paul de Vence ( home of Gallery Maecht that represents Miro)..terrific old walled city...

I'll top my post for you( I'm back...and) but in previous years, we visited Monaco, Cassis(a favorite) not as pretentious as St Tropez, but for night life, St Tropez it is. Try to do the hill towns, very beautiful and to ride the Corniche is breathtaking.
