Florence rental car location?

We will be arriving in Florence on Saturday, September 30th (assuming there is no unplanned strike that day anyway. We will be taking the train from Rome. We are looking at renting a car from autoeurope as they have the cheapest rates I could find. The address for the rental location is 53-55r Via Borgognissanti. Is this close to the Florence train station. I don't mind a bit of a walk but one of our travellers is elderly, and with the luggage and all . . .

Thanks for the advice. We will be leaving the city immediately for a villa apartment. When we come back into the city we won't be driving in the city at all.

We rented a car form Hertz in February which also was near the train station. To us it was a very confusing area. So when we rented our car to leave Florence we took a cab from our hotel (which was just a few blocks from the station), much less stressful.Just make sure you get in line at the cab stand outside the station(Don't go with people who come up to you and offer)

the good thing about that location is that it's very close to the river and is easy to get out of the city from there. I would suggest getting a cab to that location. While the walk is not that difficult, the sidewalks are narrow and cars and scooters fly by. It might be less stressful that way.
