Finding a room near Pienza ...

We are visiting Tuscany in Sept. and getting nowhere in our efforts to find a nice double room near Pienza - can anyone help? We have tried most of the suggestions we can find but have to say, we get very few replies to our emails for some reason.
We would like to budget at under $100 dble.
contact details would be very helpful too....thank you

Do you want in town or out? I've stayed at Il Giardino Segreto which is in town and would be in your budget.

Out of town (not far on the main road towards S. Quirico) I've stayed at Bonellino Vecchio which should be close to the price for a room. I think they also have some apartments. The pool should still be open much of September. I'm not sure the prices on the website are quite up to date.

I find it best to use my gmail when e-mailing about rooms as it seems to not disappear to spam filters as other e-mails I have.

Have you checked at booking.com? There is a lot of availability in September.

Looked at B+B Camere Andrei and this seems good and a fair price. Anyone had any experience staying there - and advice for visiting Pienza please?

Camere Andrei is just outside the old town. I haven't stayed there, but you only have to walk across the street to be in the old town. Pienza is tiny. Down the road a short walk is B&B Rutiliano. They have a pool if that interests you. Also between the two is Hotel San Giorgio and Hotel Corsignano (both have pools). I've seen good prices on various websites for both of them. I would think the only places in your listed price preference would be B&B's like Il Giardino. There are several such B&B's. Most are listed on Portale Pienza. Hotels, B&B's and restaurants are listed.
