Ever heard of Cheap Car Rental.com?
I am just in the process of booking a car for 25 days in France and am getting a fantastic rate from this company.
Has anyone ever used it - it is a broker and claims - "Over half a million cars in 5,000 worldwide locations for your holiday car hire".
Too good to be true or go for it?
Thanks

Are you sure that they are even a broker? - - not that there is anything wrong with a broker - - the company with the best reputation here on this forum is a broker: www.autoeurope.com
My reading of this website (if it even is a company) is that it is just a mega-search engine. They feature a link to their "competition" (AutoEurope) right on the front page of their website - - which suggests to me that AutoEurope does not compete with them, rather it is one of their (many) suppliers.
Right in their fine print, it say that
"All car rental reservations are made on the Travel Now secure server"
- - which is in turn another "reseller". Have you read all of THEIR fine print - - at http://www.travelnow.com/index.jsp?p...&cid=59060
...for example...
<<This price is provided so you can better estimate the total price you may pay to the rental car company for your car, but is not a guarantee of your total charges.>>
If you got a good price, it may be real, but be sure you know what are you paying for exactly, and what is or is not included.
I would ask who will be there for you if/when you have a problem.
I can personalyl assure you that when you call AutoEurope at 9 am France - - 3 am in Maine - - and you feel cranky after your transatlantic flight, it is VERY reassuring to hear that wide awake and cheerful voice at AutoEurope. Their 24/24 service means just that.
Best wishes,
Rex

Just have to throw in a thought here. You might want to check out the web site for Nova rental (they're in northern Ireland). we've rented from them a number of times, and they've beaten AutoEurope's price considerably. They were also good and helpful when we did have a problem with a rental in Nice.
