Dingle B&Bs
Hello --
I am going to Dingle and trying to decide between staying in Walsh's Townhouse and the Lighthouse. My primary concern with the Lighthouse is that it is too far out of town to walk home at night in the dark.
Any suggestions?
thanks!

The Lighthouse is way too far to walk home from the main part of town at night, esp. if you've been at the pub. We stayed 1 night at Coastline B&B near the Lighthouse and 1 night at Benners. We really like Benners and hadn't really wanted to stay at a "hotel" instead of a b&b. The Lighthouse is a beautiful location but it depends what you're after. I would ask Walsh's about noise. Enjoy the town. We loved it.

We stayed at Milestone in Dingle - highly recommend it! We took a cab to the pub, but after a few pints, decided to walk back to the B&B at midnight. It was dark!!! But the stars were incredible! A totally doable walk, even with 4 pints in me!

We stayed at the Lighthouse this summer and it's a beautiful spot. It's about a 20 minute walk to the harbor but coming home it's all uphill until you get to the road where the Lighthouse is. Be aware that the taxi service in Dingle is virtually non existent, although there a couple around. If you chose the Lighhouse I promise you won't be disappointed. Great view, great hosts and great food.
