Cheap quiet place to stay in Venice?
My friend and I will be in Venice next June, and it seems from reviews that all the hostels are loud party places. Anyone know of a quieter nice place (dorms is ok) for 20-30 euros per person?

Abbynicole...
you'll probably do better asking the same question on the Rough Guide web site's forums where the travellers tend to be younger and more likely to stop in hostels, dorms etc.
We're a friendly bunch here (in the main!) but it tends to be an older/more comfort orientated lot of travellers.
At any rate, posting at the Rough Guide forum will at least double your chances of a useful answer!

This is a hotel-and-hostel. Since there are only 15 rooms -- for 1,2, 3 or 4 people -- on the "hostel" floor, I would imagine that the partying might be somewhat more restrained.

And if you're willing to go to 37.50 Euros (max) per person, you could try this nice B & B:

www.lonelyplanet.com and go to The Thorn Tree, on the Western European board. There are more shoe-string budget travelers posting there than here at Fodors.
I have also heard of convent stays in Venice, but I don't think they are quite that cheap.

If the two friends are women, there is a convent hostel that is 15 Euros per night. Look here:

The convent hostel is Suore Canossiane.
There's a Protestant guesthouse with dorms for 21 Euros per night - Foresteria Valdese.
