Brindisi to Positano
My husband, Myself and our 2 kids [10 & 13] will be catching a train from Brindisi to either Salerno or Naples in June - with the goal of getting to Positano in the same day.
Any suggestions on the best way to achieve this??

Kanga - Your best route is via Salerno.
There is a convenient departure at 08.55 via Taranto, which gets you to Salerno at 14.00.
www.trenitalia.com
From Salerno you can catch a ferry to Positano at 14.10 or 15.30.
(You might not make the first one - but the 15.30 ferry would allow you time for lunch ...)
Here's the ferry timetable link:

Hope this helps ...

Hi Kanga,
The ferry dock in Salerno is about a 5 min walk SE of the train station.
Ferries leave for Positano from P.zza della Concordia at
08,40 – 09,40 - 11,30 – 14,10 – 15,30
and take 70 min. Cost about 6E.
From Naples, you take the Circumvesuviana commuter train to Sorrento and the SITA bus to Positano.
I recommend the ferry. If you take the 8:55 from Brindisi, you might make the 14:10 ferry, definitely the 15:30.

FTP - Currently the lasts ferry leaves Positano at 18.30 - but times change during the season, with more frequent services in summer.
You can find details on this link:

.....
Positano-Salerno by bus is about 2 hours travel time - with a change of bus at Amalfi.
[Total journey time depends on waiting time in Amalfi for the onward service to Salerno]
You can find timetable details on:

AMALFI-SALERNO

Latest current departure time with a connecting service to Salerno is 20.05 from Positano. (Runs Mon-Sat).
[There is a later service on Sundays/ public holidays]
N.B - Timetables change next month.
Current timetables shown are valid until 9th June.
Hope this helps ...
