We are taking 15 days South American cruise on December 22 on Olimpia Voyager. 5 days will be in Amazon river. Will appriciate any information about the ship: accomodations (inside state room)?, food? service? is it clean? Also about Amazon region. We are required to have immunization for Yellow fever - cannot understand why the Royal Olimpic insists on it - the Brazilian official site just recomends it and only for certain areas of the country, not where we are going to be. Hope to get some answers on this board.

Hi Alex,
I would check with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) for inoculation info.
I have sailed the Voyager and it is a hoot. The bow of the ship actually lifts out of the water when starting at full throttle and the wake is beautiful. It is a true speedboat.
I did not sail your itinerary but I did a 7 day Med. I foidn the food to be very good except for the night of the Greek sampler. Nothing like the food in Greece.
The staterooms are rather small but comfortable (so the passengers say that have booked them). I was in a suite so I can not compare.
Service is great (true Greek hospitality) and the ship is very clean.
Enjoy your cruise.
Paul
Thanks, Paul! I appreciate your information and definitely will contact CDS.
ROC probably could care less about the yellow fever shot, but it is required in order for you to get a Brazilian Visa, which you will need to do. ROC will send papers to you, but you must meet the requirements (yellow fever shot). you can always call them if you have questions.
Thanks, Paul! I appreciate your information and definitely will contact CDS.
