St. Jeans Village

We are thinking about staying here....the sticker shock of American/Euros currency conversion is really crazy...but...what the heck. Is there a BIG difference between the Terrece Cottage and Deluxe Cottage??? I mean, we won't be staying in the room very long (hopefully).

I don't remember all of the names for the various suites but get one with a balcony (probably not the terrace). We've stayed there twice & had glorious views of the bay & the planes swooping in. 1st thing in the morning watching the sun rise; last thing at night counting the stars and OOOOh the hammocks!! We'd go to the market (not very far) & get a very fresh baguette, some cheese, a little meat for the carnivore spouse, a bottle of French wine & there's a perfect lunch on a perfect island on a perfect balcony with a perfect view. Spring for it -- it's definitely worth it!

I stayed at a lower level cottage on the other side of the road from the pool. I believe it was a terrace cottage. It was only for two days, prior to a villa, so it was fine for me. However, if any longer I would recommend a Deluxe Cottage. Much better experience, in fact you will enjoy the time on your balcony and the glorious views.

Barrow, you will love your unit, its view and its privacy, you will also love the owners they are very nice, my husband and I have stayed there numerous times. On most occassions the pool is empty or has maybe two other people around it. If you have never been to st Barts you are in for a surprise, it is beautiful, very chic and very friendly.
