Sandals Negril, Dunns River, Whitehouse, Ochos Rios , or...
My husband and I are around 30 and considering a 1 year wedding anniversary in Jamaica during October, at a Sandals resort. We have been to the ones in St. Lucia and preferred the Regency. It was not low energy like the Halycon or super crowded and busy like the Grande. So, we are looking for something similiar in Jamaica. We are active, looking for a nice beach with clear water, nice pools, romance, night life and good water sports. Which is the best Sandals in Jamaica that fits this? Does Sandals Antigua fit this criteria more or less than Jamaica? Thanks.

We've stayed at Sandals Grande in St. Lucia with a day trip to the Regency and The Royal Bahamian in Nassau. We have stayed in Negril, but not at a Sandals. My first choice there would be Couples Negril.
Sandals Negril is small, with a small pool. The Whitehouse is out in the middle of no where. About an hour outside of Negril. If I had to pick a Sandals it would be Sandals Dunn's River. But again, after staying at 2 Sandals, I would pick a Couples resort in Jamaica over a Sandals' property.

We've been to MoBay(5x) & Royal Caribbean(1x) 'Sandals'and Negril'Beaches'(2x)with our daughter.
We liked Negril the best for activities and scenery and MoBay for everything else(close to airport, people, etc). My nephew stayed at Sandals Whitehouse in 2006 for his honeymoon and loved it.
MoBay gets the most returnees out of all the Sandal properties -- so they must do something right. I can't comment on Ocho Rios or Antigua as haven't tried them yet.

Sandals Mobay is our favorite, we have been to Negril, Royal Caribbean, Royal Bahamian, and Antigua. Try putting your same posting on http://www.tropictravelonline.com as this site has mostly Sandals returning guests who will give you good information.
