Resort for 4 night at end of Jan.

Hello. Is it too late to find something affordable for a four day vacation at the end of January? ... We'd like to spend no more than $300 a night. Any suggestions on resorts in the BVI, Jamaica, Bahamas, St. Kitts, St. Martin would be welcomed. Thanks.

We enjoyed our stay at Timothy Beach Resort on St. Kitts a few years ago. Not fancy, but very nice.

Yes, you should be able to find accommodations in that price range at the end of January on just about all those islands. The list of places is too numerous to post here. For starters, use the "Hotels" link at the top of this page. Click through to the Caribbean and select the island of your choice. You can sort the resorts/hotels by room price and choose the one's that fit your budget. Or, you can simply do a google search for "hotels + Name of Island" and use the links there to find places in your price range.

If you do a little leg work you'll find plenty of options.

Lots of availability still and some sales.

Really depends on your taste in resorts and if you want AI

www.atlantis.com great sales right now on the beach tower

www.luxurylink.com has great sale packages on more intimate

resorts like www.roundhilljamaica.com

www.bookit.com great sales on lots of upscale AIs

www.couples.com Swept Away Negril is a nice one...

Happy Hunting,

4 days is such a short trip. I'd start with flights and figure out which islands you can get to quickest and easiest, then look for places to stay from that.

Agree with previous poster, choose a destination with a direct flight where you can leave early in the a.m. and be to the resort by noon rather than spend a whole day travelling. Don't know where you are coming from but from PHL we can easily get to Montego Bay, Cancun and San Juan in 3 1/2 - 4 hours and there are lots of direct flight choices. From Newark there's also a great early a.m. direct flight to Antigua, everything else for us usually involves connecting and takes most of the day.
