Is the meal plan at the Atlantis worth it?

I don't mind to walk to nearby places to save a dollar or two. Have NOT been to the Atlantis, and want to go. The $75 for two meals a day seems steep. Would I regret not paying for the meal plan ? Travelers are one mom and 15/10 year old daughter.

$75 each? Sounds too much to me. Plenty of nearby places you could walk to for cheaper dinners and still eat lunch by the pool at Atlantis IF you wish.

Want to save more $$? Did you look into staying at the Comfort Suites? It's a very short walk away and includes Atlantis entry plus breakfast.

If your worried about cost- don't go to Atlantis. Been there 14 times- meal plan not worth it unless you eat 3 meals per day...advise you to go to grocery store upon arrival b/c the food at Atlantis is over the top expensive---ex. Ruffles in lobby store were $11- for lg bag you would buy at grocery for $4...

There are a few places to eat in the shopping center across the street. Otherwise, you have to go across the bridge into Nassau. We stay at Harborside and have a full kitchen...so we buy groceries. If you staying in the hotel, there is no place to cook or store cold items. Shark Bites is good for lunch and if you keep your drink cup, you can refill it for free. We kept ours for 3 days...lol. I would not pay $75 a day per person. You just have to "creative."

We have been there with and without the meal plan. We sprnt MUCH LESS money WITHOUT the meal plan. Unless you eat three meals a day and always eat an appetizer, entree and dessert for dinner, the the meal pkan is not worth it.
