Honeymoon in Aruba: Need help on where to stay

Hi Everyone! My fiance and I are going to Aruba in October for our honeymoon and are having trouble deciding where to stay. We are going for 10 days and would like to stay at 2 different hotels. We would definitely like to stay at the Hyatt as we have heard great things about it. Can anyone suggest a 2nd hotel for us? We are in our late 20's and would like to be close to some nightlife but also like to relax and unwind a nice beach is a must. Price isn't an issue as we are willing to treat ourselves...

A majority of the hotels are lined up one after another along the stretch that the Hyatt is on (Palm Beach). Do you want to stay on that same stretch or move closer to town and stay on Eagle Beach. You could look at Bucuti (Eagle Beach). That would give you a completely different experience because it is small and on a very unpopulated beach, unlike the Hyatt beach with will be very populated and busy. There is a newer hotel, the RIU Palace which is an all-inlusive hotel (Palm Beach).

I would do Buccuti as well. I hear it's just lovely. We've stayed at the Hyatt and that is an excellent choice.

I have heard a lot of good things about Bucuti - everyone seems to mention the Tara suites. Are the other rooms nice too? Or would we definitely want to stay in the Tara suites? It also looks like they have a 5 night minimum?

Bucuti, Bucuti, Bucuti

Daisy4724 - if you can get room in the Tara Suites, good luck - it's a very popular hotel.

The choice of hotels comes down to what floats your boat, we like nice quiet hotel that don't encourage children Bucuti fits into that catagory

Bucuti is a near a casino and the beach is the best on the island

Be aware that there may be some topless bathing - but hey if your husband can take off his top? why shouldn't you?

My husband and I honeymooned in Aruba three years ago and stayed at the Radisson resort. The rooms were nice but the resort grounds were beautiful!

We stayed at Bucuti tara suites in December 2007 and its not much more than a glorified Holiday Inn with an incredible beach. If the beach is very important to you, then stay on Eagle Beach. If the beach is not so important and hotel is, then stay on Palm Beach.
